Our newest intern, Rosa More, hails from both Manhattan and Fort Lee–combining the best that New York and New Jersey has to offer. She is currently attending Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ, studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in both Economics and Communications and Media. At Montclair State University, she is part of the ambassador program where she gets to share her love of her school. During her college career, Rosa hopes to learn more about event planning, social media, public relations and the entertainment industry.
What are you looking forward to most about working at OSG this fall?
During my time at OSG, I’m most excited to learn about all the different branches marketing has to offer. I’m interested in learning about social media in the business world, as well as communications.
What drove you to pursue your specific degree?
When it came time to decide what I wanted to study, Business Administration was the clear choice for me. Being surrounded by family members in the industry, I have truly grown up in this industry. However, choosing a concentration in marketing was not as simple. Initially, I was studying Business Administration with a concentration in management, but soon came to realize that I liked to communicate with customers and interact with them on a more personal level. Marketing gave me the opportunity to do what I love and connect with customers one-to-one. As for communications, it felt like the right step to take if I wanted to be part of the entertainment industry. So far, I have come to love both fields and have developed a greater liking for communications media than I anticipated.
Describe your dream job.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always found myself intrigued by music and television. My dream job would be to take part in and create social media campaigns for companies like Disney, Viacom or Spotify.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, watching movies or TV shows and singing along to my favorite songs–even though my sisters think I’m being too loud.
