Staying Connected

Keeping in touch with our family, friends and customers is easier than ever in this day and age. With the push of a few buttons we can text, call and share information with the important people in our lives, and our customers definitely fall into that category.

The monthly invoice/statement is a great way in which you can directly reach out to your customers. Transactional documents have a 97 percent open and read rate. It’s not only a vehicle to tell your customers how much money they owe and a recap of their charges, it’s also prime real estate to place carefully-targeted messages to your customers. You can use the invoice/statement to reinforce your branding, cross-sell or up-sell new products or services, announce a sale or promotion or just offer a public service announcement.

Your blog and company newsletter are also great ways to let your customers know that you care to keep up the relationship beyond the monthly invoice. Let them know what exciting things are going on in your company and how you can better cater to their needs.

Often before a customer reaches out to you, they have already visited your first point of communication—your website. That’s why it’s essential that your website be up to date and convey your intended messaging. You can also use email marketing to start a conversation and relay the messages you want. Your customers then have the ability to continue the conversation through your company app or even speak to someone at the company directly.

Let your customers know what’s happening in your company when it’s hot off the press via your website, your blog, email marketing and push notifications from your app so that they can feel excited along with you about your company’s achievements.
