Not only is this Sunday Father’s Day, it’s also the summer solstice, making it the longest day of the year. So with the sun shining brightly why not take advantage of the added illumination and see which of your marketing materials are in need of a touch-up, redesign or retirement?
Have you introduced a new logo or made changes to your corporate branding this year? If so, have you updated all of your materials to reflect the changes or are there still some materials bearing the old logo/branding? You’ll want to be sure to take the old materials out of circulation and if they still have good information, update them with the new look.
Did you stop using a particular piece of collateral? Make sure you take it off the shelves in your office but also make sure any staff not based out of your office know that they should discontinue distributing that piece.
Have you looked at your website lately? This would be a good time to do the same things listed above on the site. And while you’re perusing the site, think about what might be missing or what added features might be nice to have on the site. Or which sections need to be updated.
Going through this exercise on a regular basis ensures your marketing materials are up-to-date and representing you in the best (sun)light.
