Spring officially begins this weekend. And so too does the annual tradition of spring cleaning. Whether it’s sorting through your closets at home to see what still fits and what’s back in style or examining files at work to see what can be archived, it’s a great time to go through the exercise of out with the old, in with the new. That’s why spring is such a good time to take a look at your marketing materials to see if they need freshening up.
Can you remember the last time you did a thorough review of your marketing collateral? Are any of your materials still sporting the old logo? Or maybe you’ve got the right logo but the wrong color? What about content review? Does someone review the copy on your website on a regular basis? If not, this is a great time to set aside some time to review what’s up there and see if anything needs updating or needs to be taken down. Doing this will not only make sure your materials are current, but the experience might also help you realize a gap in your materials and help you determine some new materials you need to develop.
If you get your team into the habit of doing this a few times a year it won’t be such a daunting task and you could even have some fun with it.
